“On Balance” with Elisabeth Akinwale


1621972_707406215946970_767174796_n This is a one-day interactive workshop with 4-Time CrossFit Games Athlete Elisabeth Akinwale. Course content will include Gymnastics, Olympic style weightlifting, and focus on a holistic approach to physical & mental preparation for optimal performance and goal attainment.  Please submit inquiries to

  • Developing a proper foundation for building gymnastics skills
  • Specific gymnastics skill practice and progressions
  • Squatting technique and strategies for improvement
  • Snatch and Clean & Jerk instruction from the perspective of a Weightlifter and CrossFit Games Athlete
  • Mental preparation for performance- specific strategies and skill practice
  • Lifestyle content- nutrition and recovery basics


Details for the Day The workshop will run from 9am-4pm, with a brief lunch break.  Participants should come prepared to move and engage.  Bring your weightlifting shoes and an open mind! Registration is limited, to ensure a high quality experience for each participant.


More About Elisabeth Elisabeth is a four-time CrossFit Games athlete with two North Central Regional Championship titles.  Having 20 Regional and Games event victories to her name, Elisabeth has demonstrated the power of the strategies that you will learn at “On Balance.” Elisabeth is also an accomplished weightlifter with multiple top ten finishes at the American Open Weightlifting Championship and three USA Weightlifting Nationals qualifications. She is the first CrossFit Games competitor to be named to Team MDUSA Weightlifting team. Elisabeth brings the experience of 15 years of competitive gymnastics, SEALFIT Kokoro 30, CrossFit Level 1 certification, CrossFit Kids Certification, and coaching over 40 seminars over the past 2 years. Elisabeth holds a Master’s degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago and is the proud mother of one.

    • Hi Tracy,

      Yes, I took a bit of a hiatus leading up to the CrossFit Games and just haven’t gotten back to doing any scheduling yet. I will be seeking host gyms soon. Thanks for asking!

    The On balance you conducted in Missouri was awesome. You coaching on the snatch has helped me get past the fear of the snatch. I have been focusing on the actual skill instead of the amount of weight. Thanks so much and my confidence in my handstand has improved ten fold actually was able to do a WOD with handstands!! Thanks so much!!
